m2r Education is an approved supplier on the Government Commercial Agency (GCA) Supply Teachers & Education Recruitment Framework. We’re looking for an experienced Design Technology Teacher with an Art and Design background to join a secondary school in Wakefield from January 2027.
This is a mid to long-term post, running from January until at least February half term, and possibly until Easter. The role will be either full time or 0.8 FTE (Monday to Thursday), to be confirmed.
You’ll teach a mix of KS3 Design Technology, mainly CAD, and KS4 Photography.
Requirements:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or recognised equivalent
- Experience teaching Design Technology, ideally including CAD
- Experience teaching KS4 Photography (essential)
- An Art and Design background
- Experience teaching within a UK secondary school
- Strong classroom management skills
- Reliable, adaptable and professional approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
- Right to Work in the UK
