Your Opportunity
As our valued Quality Lead, you will play a vital role in overseeing our fabrication team and ensuring excellence across all projects within our quality function, spanning three workshops. This is a diverse role with strong support available, while maintaining a non-micromanaged environment. The position comes with the authority to oversee this area of the business and offers significant input into its operations and decision-making. This is an on-site role based at Salisbury where you’ll leverage your technical and operational expertise to drive the growth of our structural, piping and plate fabrication projects.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Managing ISO 9001 compliance
- Managing ISO 3834 compliance
- IMS and Quality Plan delivery and compliance
- Supply of technically compliant MDR’s for each fabrication project
- Ensuring compliance to achieve contract QA/QC requirements.
- Applying knowledge, skills and other management techniques against project activities and technical requirements to meet the project requirements
- Managing all Workshop resources (people, plant & equipment) regarding achieving quality compliances
- Actively demonstrating compliance to M2P Safety and Environmental Plans.
What you’ll bring
To succeed in this role, it requires someone who’s right in the thick of the action. Projects can change in an instant, so being on-site and fully engaged with the team is essential. You will also have:
- Relevant ISO Accreditation qualifications.
- Welding Supervisors qualification (CSWIP 3.2, AS1796 Certificate 10 or similar)
- Welding Inspectors qualifications (CSWIP 3.1, IWI-S or similar)
- A minimum of five (5) years’ post-qualification experience in related industry;
- High level of interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written;
- Computer skills – specifically around creation of technical documents required for compiling MDR.
Ideally, you will also have:
- Recognised welding inspection qualifications
- Relevant QA experience in a high-paced fabrication environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail
- The skills and experience to be able to deal with conflicting priorities in a busy & fast-paced environment
- A pro-active team player attitude with strong problem-solving capabilities.
