An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Invoice Finance Team Leader/Portfolio Manager to join the growing operations team of this established commercial finance provider in a leadership role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operational; Transaction Processing (own and company portfolio)
Based from the Northern head office in Manchester, The Team Leader is responsible for ensuring their team process all transactions accurately, process clients’ schedules in a timely manner and are in receipt of all correct documentation. All client payments within their portfolio and the team are processed accurately and meet internal and external deadlines. Support operations team in the day to day activities and ensure all process and procedures are completed accurately. - Risk Management; Portfolio Management – Service and Risk (predominantly own and support the team)
Responsible in ensuring the debt purchased is recoverable. This includes ensuring the invoices and supporting documents are legitimate and the verification is completed as per company requirements. Client service and retention is key to the company’s success and this is achieved in the main by the Relationship Management team as they are responsible for both the delivery of client service whilst being the main daily contact for the clients. Service is important but this also needs to be balanced with risk. We monitor risk in various ways, with various tools which the Team Leader will monitor for their portfolio and provide support to the wider team. The Team Leader is additionally accountable for client retention including the delivery of client service, including dealing with client complaints. - People
The Team Leader role will be the line manager of the CC or RM team. Part of this role is to ensure standards and expectations of the team are met daily, KPIs are met and company values are upheld whilst creating a positive working environment. They are accountable for team training and development of their direct reports as well as supporting underperformers. They will have the ownership for recruitment of their team. - Leadership
As a leader in the business, they will be part of the Senior Leadership team who shape, drive and implement strategy initiatives throughout the business. They will help ensure the department is running efficiently and help ensure the business achieves its company objectives. They will actively seek ways to improve department and company performance. They would actively be involved in the tracking of department KPIs that are accessed at board level. They would also help ensure the positive culture in the business, bringing a positive attitude to create high employee engagement within the team. The role provides opportunity to really shape and influence the future of a growing ambitious business.
