A rare opportunity to work for a market leading blue-chip brand and established Commercial Finance provider. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Sales, the role of the Sales Associate is to secure new Invoice Finance business for the company, ensuring agreed sales targets are achieved.
The Sales Associate will be responsible for promoting The Company’s services and products directly to end users, and third parties, whilst maintaining the reputation of the company at all times.
A key requirement of the role is to promote The Company’s lending appetite for facility sizes up to £350,000 and for transactions to be completed from both intermediary and direct channels. There may be opportunities to work on transactions up to £500,000 but the core purpose of the role is to drive increased market penetration in the lower SME market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales targets for the role as determined by scheme criteria but to include income loan and deal count metrics.
- Develop of network of intermediaries whilst promoting The Company’s brand and product range via the implementation of a business development strategy.
- Provide support to national marketing campaigns.
- Issue quotations in line with company requirements.
- Create new business proposals and present them to the appropriate level for signatory sign off.
- Develop a deep understanding of The Company’s products, credit appetite and processes, including the end-to-end customer journey.
- Build deep internal and external relationships with all key stakeholders.
- Own all pipeline opportunities, being pro-active with a self-starer mentality
- Operate with efficiency, ensuring rapid responses that meet the pace and expectations of the market.
- Manage and coordinate the workflow of approved new business files through to first payment, liaising closely with the New Business Support Team throughout the process.
- Prepare clear and succinct credit papers with risks highlighted and appropriately mitigated.
- Working with internal stakeholders within the Credit team regarding quotes for Non-Recourse business.
- Comply with money laundering regulations relating to the acquisition of New Business.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Target driven, highly motivated with a proactive mindset
- Good understanding of the brand, the products and professional sales techniques
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders such as credit and operational support teams.
- Strong numeric, organisational and credit analysis skills, and an ability to write concise and articulate credit proposals.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage workflow at pace across multiple deals and competing priorities.
Desirable:
- Previous Invoice Finance experience
- Previous Sales Experience
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other similar CRM systems
- Understanding of compliance, especially AML and regulatory expectations
