We are hiring a Technical Photogrammetry Artist to join our scanning operations team in Hackney. You'll process 3D scans through our custom Agisoft Metashape pipeline, working alongside our existing pipeline technician to clear our backlog and keep our capture flywheel turning. This is a contracted role with the potential to go full-time.
Core Responsibilities
- Work through our scanning backlog by processing assets through our Agisoft Metashape pipeline, with a focus on alignment quality and mesh standards.
- Process scans through our custom Metashape pipeline and tooling.
- Check alignment quality and ensure meshes meet our internal standards.
- Triage and flag issues with capture data back to the scanning team.
Core Tasks
- Process scans through our pipeline - we have heavily optimised Metashape workflows with custom tools and automation.
- Check alignment - verify camera alignment, identify and resolve misalignments, ensure tie point quality before reconstruction.
- Ensure mesh standards - review reconstructions against our internal quality bar: topology, coverage, completeness, surface fidelity.
- Throughput - work at a pace that keeps the production line moving. We're optimised for high volume daily output, you'll be expected to grow into that pace quickly.
- Flag capture issues - close the loop with Max, Joe and the wider scanning team when input data is the limiting factor.
- Use Reality Capture where appropriate - we use both Metashape and RC depending on the asset and use case.
- Grow into capture work - once you're up to speed on processing, you'll start joining handheld scans with DSLR + ring flash on location in north London.
