We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality care and support to individuals in need, particularly those residing in assisted living environments or nursing homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, including those with dementia and other care needs.
Duties:
- Assisting service users with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of service users.
- Making tea or coffee and heating meals in the microwave.
- Supporting service users with mobility.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring that their living space is tidy and organised.
- Collaborating with care coordinators to implement care plans effectively and monitor service users' progress.
- Engaging clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical stimulation.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a patient-facing role or a similar setting is highly desirable.
- A background in nursing or relevant qualifications in health and social care would be advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with service users, families, and healthcare professionals.
