Retail Displays - Project Manager / CAD

Full-Time On-site

About you You're someone who enjoys the design side of a project just as much as seeing the finished product come together. We're looking for a Project Manager with strong CAD design skills to join a business specialising in bespoke retail displays, commercial furniture and shopfitting equipment. CAD is a big part of this role, so you'll need to be confident producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings, taking customer ideas and turning them into practical designs that can be manufactured. You'll also be comfortable managing projects, speaking with customers and suppliers, and keeping everything moving from the initial brief through to delivery. Your experience Ideally, you'll have worked within retail displays, shopfitting, bespoke furniture, POS or a similar manufacturing environment. You'll understand how products are put together, particularly when it comes to metalwork, joinery and fabrication. It's important that you can design something that not only looks good but can actually be manufactured efficiently. You'll need strong CAD experience, including producing technical manufacturing drawings, alongside the ability to manage multiple projects and communicate confidently with customers and production teams. Experience with signage, illuminated displays or overseas manufacturers would be useful, but isn't essential. What you'll be doing You'll be involved in projects from the very beginning, working with customers to understand what they need, producing CAD drawings and developing designs ready for manufacture. From there, you'll coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing teams, manage costs and deadlines, oversee prototypes and make sure the finished products meet the original brief. There's plenty of variety, with projects covering bespoke retail displays, furniture and shopfitting equipment for customers across the UK and internationally. There will also be occasional travel to customer sites and manufacturing partners, including some overseas visits. About the business You'll be joining an established business that designs, manufactures and supplies retail display products, bespoke furniture and shopfitting equipment. They work with customers across the UK and internationally, combining their own manufacturing capabilities with external production partners. It's an opportunity to get involved in both the technical design and project delivery side of the business, rather than being limited to one part of the process. The role is based in Harworth, Doncaster, with a starting salary of £37,500 and flexibility depending on your experience. Next steps If you've got a strong CAD background and experience taking manufactured products from design through to delivery, we'd love to have a chat. You might already be a Project Manager, or you might be a CAD Designer who's taken on more responsibility for projects and customers. Either way, we'd be interested in hearing from you
