You are an experienced Production Manager who knows what it takes to keep a busy manufacturing operation running efficiently. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy leading people and take pride in delivering quality products on time.

You may already work within the signage industry, but that’s certainly not essential. We’re equally keen to speak with Production Managers from joinery, kitchen manufacturing, furniture production, shopfitting, architectural metalwork, steel fabrication or other bespoke manufacturing environments. What matters most is your ability to lead teams, organise production, solve problems and keep work flowing safely and efficiently through the factory. We’ll teach you the signage side – we’re looking for someone who already understands great production management.

You’re someone who enjoys being on the factory floor, building relationships with your team, supporting supervisors and creating a culture where quality, accountability and continuous improvement are part of everyday working life.

Your experience

  • You have proven experience managing production within a manufacturing environment and understand how to balance production schedules, quality, staffing levels and customer deadlines.
  • You have experience leading production teams, coordinating multiple departments and ensuring work moves efficiently from goods in through manufacturing to dispatch.
  • You’re confident managing performance, conducting HR meetings where required, monitoring overtime, overseeing health and safety and ensuring machinery, equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard.
  • You’ve successfully introduced improvements to processes, productivity or workflow and understand how small changes can make a big difference to efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Whether your background is in signage, joinery, kitchens, furniture, steelwork, fabrication or another manufacturing sector, you know how to organise people, prioritise workloads and deliver results.

What you’ll be doing

  • As Production Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the manufacturing operation, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Working closely with the Purchasing Manager, Project Team, department supervisors and installation teams, you’ll oversee production schedules, monitor progress across departments and ensure work flows smoothly through every stage of manufacture.
  • You’ll chair regular production meetings, communicate priorities across the factory and act as the first point of contact for production-related queries, supporting your team while escalating issues where appropriate.
  • You’ll also oversee health and safety, PPE, machinery servicing, maintenance schedules, delivery planning, coding of steelwork, vehicle servicing and general housekeeping across the site, ensuring the factory operates efficiently and remains compliant.
  • Alongside the day-to-day operation, you’ll continually look for opportunities to improve production processes, increase efficiency, develop your team and create a positive working environment where people enjoy coming to work.
