We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Toolmaker to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level role is designed to provide hands-on training and experience in the production, maintenance, and repair of precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced toolmakers to develop technical skills, learn machining techniques, and support the efficient operation of the toolroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the manufacture, assembly, and repair of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Learn to operate manual and CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses.
  • Interpret basic engineering drawings, technical specifications, and tool designs.
  • Support senior toolmakers with tool setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Measure and inspect components using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in the toolroom.
  • Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
