A recognised high volume manufacturer is currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a CNC Technician working from their manufacturing facility in Shropshire.
The CNC Technician will be responsible for:
- Support production on a daily basis.
- Competent in running CNCs and all aspects of machine performance, fault finding, and diagnostics.
- Maintain hydraulic fixture operation, clamping repeatability and machining position to casting.
- Change tools, track tool life, and investigate tool breakages.
- Monitor part quality, adjust offsets and improve process capability.
- Develop and maintain process documentation and assist in the generation of SWI’s.
- Set procedures and standards.
- Drive TPM and 5S.
- Train, mentor and guide others on how to operate equipment safely and correctly.
- Other related duties as determined by the Process Engineering Manager or Process Engineers.
- Promote the company’s HSE policies across the department and plant.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an apprenticeship or formal qualification.
- Proven experience in CNC machine setting.
