A globally recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a Robot Programmer. Working from their facility in Shropshire, the Robot Programmer will be responsible for: β Program robot paths, set up program structure and implement offline programming β Configure robot IO (Input / Output), weld interface and program call β Set up structure for robot programs β Provide robotic support and training as required β Develop and control program structure as jobs progress β Work on Robot drawings and configurations β Train and work with other programmers to enhance skill level β Read and interpret electrical blue prints, schematics and specifications β Order materials for Robots β Anticipate and solve robotic problems (troubleshoot) β Operate various tools and equipment including precision equipment (testers), megger, scope β Fastening down of tooling and robots β Work closely with Robotic Supervisor regarding projects, monitoring workload and deadlines β Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner and know how to properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energy β Program, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial robotic systems. β Collaborate with engineers and production staff to understand and define programming requirements. β Develop robot programs using native programming languages. β Collaborate with the automation team to integrate robots into existing manufacturing systems. β Test and validate robot programs to ensure proper functionality and performance. β Identify and resolve programming issues, including debugging and optimization. β Document programming processes, procedures, and changes for reference and training purposes. The candidate should be qualified to a minimum HNC level or equivalent in Manufacturing/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering with a minimum of 3 years experience in programming robots.
