An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Indirect Buyer to join a leading manufacturer based in the Droitwich area. As the Indirect Buyer, you will play a key role in managing indirect purchasing activities to support company goals around cost-efficiency, quality, and supplier performance. The Indirect Buyer will be at the heart of supplier negotiations, contract management, and strategic sourcing decisions.
Further responsibilities will include:
- Process and challenge purchase requisitions to secure the best value.
- Collaborate with internal teams to fulfil urgent or complex procurement needs.
- Lead supplier benchmarking and negotiation for capital purchases.
- Support KPI reporting and lead monthly MRO reviews.
- Manage service contracts, rental and lease agreements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through spend analysis and trend tracking.
- Champion continuous improvement and support strategic purchasing objectives.
Ideally, candidates will be CIPS qualified or have worked in a purchasing function for three years or more ideally within a manufacturing environment. The successful Indirect Buyer will have proven negotiation skills and will be confident dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
