An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Tooling Engineer (Moulding) to join a leading 1st tier automotive supplier on a permanent basis. The successful Tooling Engineer will be joining an innovative organisation who can offer a defined career path and further personal progression.
The Tooling Engineer will be responsible for managing tooling on time and to budget. Further responsibilities will include:
- Delivering tooling, from initial concept and design through to series manufacturing
- Sourcing new tooling suppliers and leading Value for Money studies
- Generating detailed project plans and forecasting tooling spend
- Monitoring, identifying and resolving problems with tool manufacturing
- Ensuring tooling is managed within budget and to agreed timescales
- Co-ordinating tooling reviews, trials and tool buy off
Ideally candidates will be Degree or HNC/HND qualified and have a solid understanding of injection moulding tooling technologies and all aspects of tool design through to series manufacturing. The successful Tooling Engineer will have previously managed tooling from sourcing through to production readiness.
