The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 Β£ per year.

A recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a CNC Technician.

Working from their manufacturing facility in Shropshire, the CNC Technician will be responsible for:

  • Support production on a daily basis.
  • Competent in running CNCs and all aspects of the machine performance, fault finding and diagnostics.
  • Maintain hydraulic fixture operation, clamping repeatability and machining position to casting.
  • Change tools, track tool life, investigate tool breakages.
  • Monitor part quality, adjust offsets and improve process capability.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation as well as assist in the generation of SWIs.
  • Set procedures and standards.
  • Drive TPM and 5S.
  • Train, mentor and guide others on how to operate equipment safely and correctly.
  • Other related duties as determined by the Process Engineering Manager or Process Engineers.
  • Promote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of an Apprenticeship or formal qualification and proven experience in CNC machine setting.
