M‑Sport UK is a world‑leading motorsport company, responsible for designing, building, and running rally cars at the highest level of global competition. We are now seeking a Showcar Technician to support the maintenance, assembly, preparation and deployment of show cars and heritage rally cars across our Rally Raid (Raptor T1+), Rally1 (Puma), and Rally2 (Fiesta) programmes. This role plays a key part in ensuring our show cars represent M‑Sport to the highest standard at events, exhibitions, customer engagements, and promotional activities worldwide.
The role and responsibilities include:
- Prepare, build, maintain and refresh show cars and heritage rally cars to an exceptional visual and mechanical standard.
- Assemble and strip vehicles for shows, displays, and promotional events.
- Ensure all vehicles are presented clean, complete, safe, and in correct specification.
- Manage the deployment of show cars, including packing, loading, and unloading.
- Carry out basic mechanical assembly and fitting of components across Raptor, Puma, and Fiesta platforms.
- Inspect vehicles before and after events, reporting and rectifying any damage or wear.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle condition, parts usage, and build specification.
- Support heritage vehicle upkeep, preservation, and light recommissioning.
- Work closely with technical departments, marketing, transport and management teams to meet project requirements.
We’re looking for a self‑motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:
- Strong mechanical knowledge across suspension, brakes, drivetrain, and electrical systems.
- Experience working on performance road cars, race cars, or motorsport projects.
- High attention to detail and pride in presentation quality.
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple vehicles and deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to working hours, with travel to events.
- Confident communicator who can talk with guests and clients.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience as a no.1 or no.2 motorsport technician is preferred.
