ABOUT THE ROLE

Operating at the highest levels of international motorsport, M‑Sport UK delivers programmes across the FIA World Rally Championship, Rally Raid and a variety of global customer racing activities. We’re looking to recruit a highly organised and proactive Transport Coordinator to join our growing transport team at our Dovenby Hall headquarters. This role plays a key part in ensuring the efficient planning and coordination of transport operations across the UK, Europe and worldwide events. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong logistical, administrative and communication skills to become part of a fast‑paced motorsport environment.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carnet & Customs Management: Take ownership of creating, maintaining, and processing multiple ATA Carnets and essential international shipping/customs documentation.
  • Driver & Fleet Administration: Help source onboard, and manage contract drivers, ensuring all necessary compliance and paperwork are complete.
  • Invoice & Financial Tracking: Monitor, verify, and approve driver invoices, keeping tight control of transport costs and supporting budget tracking.
  • Compliance & Regulations: Maintain a solid working understanding of driver hours, tachograph regulations, and basic Operator’s Licence (O‑Licence) laws to support our Transport Manager.
  • European Route Planning: Plan complex, multi‑stop routes across Europe, including the direct booking and coordination of ferry crossings and transit schedules.
  • Event Logistics: Coordinate time‑critical freight, vehicle, and equipment movements for motorsport events, test, and business activities, ensuring everything arrives exactly when needed.
  • Supplier Liaison: Act as a central point of contact for external suppliers, freight partners, customs agents, and internal departments.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a self‑motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude who understands the high stakes of motorsport logistics and thrives under pressure. You must be comfortable working at pace and adapting to last‑minute schedule changes, especially during live events.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA & SKILLS

  • Motorsport Urgency: A clear understanding of the speed, precision, and dedication required to work within a professional motorsport environment.
  • Operational Flexibility: A flexible and adaptable attitude towards working hours; there is a clear expectation that work outside of normal operating hours will be required at certain times during live events and critical transit windows.
  • Software & IT Literacy: Strong MS Office skills, combined with the capability and confidence to use transport‑specific software (e.g. Tachomaster) and other tracking systems.
  • Communication & Organisation: Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and superb written/verbal communication when dealing with drivers, suppliers, and internal teams.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience within logistics, transport coordination, motorsport operations or a similar role, ideally within a fast‑paced environment or international setting.
  • Direct experience handling multiple ATA Carnets and international freight or customs processes is highly desirable.
