M-Sport UK is a world-leading motorsport engineering company responsible for designing, building, and running championship-winning rally cars. We are now looking to recruit a Junior Hydraulics Technician to join our Hydraulics Department, supporting the build, testing and maintenance of high-performance hydraulics components and systems used across our motorsport programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career in motorsport and to develop hands-on experience in a professional motorsport environment.
The role and responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the build, assembly, and testing of hydraulic components and systems.
- Supporting fault-finding, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic assemblies.
- Preparing components for installation, testing, and inspection.
- Working to engineering drawings, build sheets, and quality standards.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
- Supporting experienced technicians with ongoing projects.
We are looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:
- Educated to a technician level, with a good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and motorsport components.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of hydraulic and engineering principles.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Skilled in multitasking and prioritising workloads in a time sensitive environment.
- Excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for problem solving.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous workshop or garage experience (including college or apprenticeship projects).
- An understanding of motorsport environments or race car build processes.
