M-Sport UK is a world-leading motorsport engineering company responsible for designing, building, and running championship-winning rally cars competing at the highest levels of international motorsport, including the FIA World Rally Championship and World Rally Raid Championship. We’re now seeking a skilled and motivated Damper Technician to join our Hydraulics team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-performance suspension systems that play a critical role in the performance, reliability, and success of our competition cars.

The role and responsibilities include:

  • Build, service and maintain dampers and associated suspension components.
  • Strip, inspect and rebuild dampers to exacting standards.
  • Conduct component measurement, inspection and quality control checks.
  • Prepare dampers for testing, development and competition use.
  • Support suspension development programmes and continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain accurate service records and build documentation.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, production and workshop teams.

We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:

  • Strong understanding of mechanical assembly, suspension systems or precision engineering.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Skilled in multitasking and prioritising workloads in a time sensitive environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for problem solving.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience working with hydraulic systems and suspension components is desirable.
  • Previous experience in motorsport or high-performance automotive.
