We are looking to recruit a talented and detail-focused Electrical Harness Technician to join our Electrical Department at our Dovenby Hall headquarters.
This role plays a key part in the manufacture, assembly, installation and testing of the bespoke electrical harnesses that form the backbone of our competition vehicles.
Working closely with Electrical Engineers, Design Engineers, Technicians and Production teams, you will help ensure our vehicles meet the highest standards of quality, reliability and performance.
The role can be filled on a full or part-time basis, and a flexible approach to working hours can be considered for the right candidate.
Role responsibilities include
- Harness Manufacture & Assembly: Manufacture, assemble and install electrical wiring harnesses and loom assemblies to exacting motorsport standards.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
- Loom Building & Termination: Build, terminate and configure wiring looms using high-specification motorsport components and processes.
- Testing & Fault Finding: Carry out harness testing, fault diagnosis and quality inspections to ensure reliability and functionality.
- Documentation & Traceability: Maintain accurate build records, documentation and component traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality, reliability and safety.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Design, Engineering, Production and Workshop teams to support vehicle build and development programmes.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing development of harness manufacturing processes, quality standards and workshop practices.

- Harness Assembly Experience: Proven experience in crimping, soldering and electrical harness assembly using high-specification components and tooling.
- Technical Drawing Interpretation: Strong understanding of electrical schematics, harness layout drawings and wiring documentation.
- Attention to Detail: Highly organised, delivery-focused and committed to producing work to the highest standards.
- Problem Solving: Analytical approach to fault finding, problem solving and implementing effective solutions.
- Time Management: Ability to multitask, prioritise workloads and perform effectively under demanding deadlines.
- Communication & Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

- Previous experience working within a professional motorsport team is desirable but not essential.
