The Role

We are seeking a Goods In Operative to support our busy Stores Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the deployment of packaged products, ensuring smooth operations by processing packages correctly and verifying contents.

  • Packaging bespoke parts and products for in-house departments and customer orders.
  • Using appropriate equipment and methods to package products.
  • Performing quality checks on goods for faults or issues before dispatch.
  • Resolving any shipping delays with couriers.
  • Collaborating with the Import/Export Coordinator to ship orders and produce necessary documentation.
  • Maintaining high housekeeping standards by keeping the work area clean and tidy.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with a positive attitude. You should be well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing in a busy, time-sensitive environment. Good communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with the ability to follow directions and work independently. You should have strong computer skills, including knowledge of computerized stock control systems. A basic understanding of vehicles and their technical parts is preferable but not essential; experience in a similar stock-related environment is advantageous.
