We are seeking a reliable and hands-on 7.5 tonne driver (C1) to join our growing team within a busy wooden crate manufacturing and export packing business. This is a varied, physical role combining driving with warehouse support. You will not only deliver goods but also play a key role in ensuring loads are safely prepared and secured to meet export and road safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle (C1) for local and UK-wide deliveries
- Load and unload goods safely and efficiently
- Secure loads using straps and restraints to ensure safe transport
- Check deliveries against paperwork and instructions
- Assist warehouse operations when required
- Carry out daily vehicle checks
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance
Requirements
- Valid C1 (7.5 tonne) driving licence
- Driver CPC qualification (essential)
- Proven experience with load securing/strapping
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and tachograph use
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous delivery/logistics experience (preferred)
- Forklift licence, preferred but not essential
