M Pro Recruitment is working with a well-established Fire & Security systems provider to recruit an experienced Engineer covering Hampshire and neighbouring areas.
The Role:
- You’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, commissioning, and fault-finding of Fire and Security systems.
- The role involves both planned works and reactive callouts, working independently while delivering a high standard of service to commercial and residential clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and rectify faults across Fire & Security systems.
- Maintain, test, and commission systems to current British Standards.
- Carry out installations and liaise with clients on-site.
- Respond to emergency callouts and system malfunctions.
- Interpret electrical drawings and wiring schematics.
- Liaise with Alarm Receiving Centres when required.
- Participate in an out-of-hours callout rota.
- Provide basic system training to end users.
Systems Exposure:
- Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Networking.
- Experience with systems such as Hikvision, Paxton, Texecom, Honeywell, AJAX, Dahua, Hanwha, PAC, Videx is beneficial.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Fire or Security engineering role.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong fault-finding and technical knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Confident communicator with good paperwork discipline.
- Willingness to travel across Hampshire and surrounding counties.
Desirable:
- IP-based systems and networking knowledge.
- Multi-discipline Fire & Security experience.
Package:
- Salary £36k–£45k depending on experience.
