The role of Procurement Lead:
- Lead procurement activities for a key division, driving efficiency, supplier performance, and profitability
- Develop and refine procurement policies and manage supplier relationships
- Manage materials and inventory to ensure optimal stock levels, effective supply planning, and continuity of supply to meet production demands
- Support business decisions through data-driven insights
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve processes
- Manage a small team and foster a high-performing environment
- Work closely with senior leadership, manufacturing teams, and other departments
The ideal Procurement Lead:
- Purchasing qualification (CIPS or similar)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of inventory management and production planning
- Pragmatic approach
