Hours: 4 on 4 off — 3 banks of 3 on days (06:00–18:00), 1 bank of 4 on nights (12 days, 4 nights)
The role of Multi-Skilled Engineer:
- Completing maintenance to an excellent standard, ensuring items needing rectification are immediately repaired or logged and scheduled for revisiting
- Operating with safety in mind at all times, dynamically risk‑assessing all jobs
- Building effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across all departments
- Monitoring site performance to ensure effective operations, utilising availability and performance metrics
- Being proactive with timekeeping and continuously looking for ways to improve
- Creating documentation for learnings from major breakdowns/outages using root cause analysis and best practice approaches
- Supporting adherence to the site maintenance budget through a no‑waste approach
- Administrative maintenance — keeping the CMMS up to date and completing shift reports to a high standard
The ideal Multi-Skilled Engineer:
- Experienced Electrical Biased Maintenance/Automation Engineer, ideally from a warehouse/logistics background
- A recognised qualification in Engineering
- Understanding of PLC & SCADA systems (desirable)
- Proficiency in automation software and programming languages
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Ability to work independently or as part of a wider team
