The role of Finance Assistant:
- Process invoices, payments, and financial transactions with accuracy and timeliness
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and reconciliations
- Maintain and update financial records in compliance with company policies
- Communicate with suppliers and clients regarding payment queries and account statements
- Processing Sales Credit Notes for EU subsidiary and ensuring Sales Invoices are billed on a daily basis
- Ensuring all Purchase Invoices are mapped correctly, authorised, checked, posted, and ready for payment
- Post payments on ERP system and maintain Vendor Database
- Weekly payment runs and maintaining the Aged Creditors Report
- Oversee the setup and credit verification process for customers
- Post customer receipts and allocate accordingly
- Debt collection and managing customer interactions to ensure timely delivery of financial documents
- Process Sales Order Returns in line with the universal process
- Become a trained AP automation solution user and collaborate with Accounts Service Centre
- Work with the management team to identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives
- Provide cover for customer receipts processing for EU branches and support ad-hoc tasks including Intrastats and financial reporting
