The role of Merchandiser:
- Prepare reporting and present in weekly and monthly trading meetings
- Drive the trade model
- Review daily and weekly sales performance and take actions where required
- Review over and under performance at product level and drive trading actions to maximise potential and minimise risk
- Manage a WSSI by accurately forecasting demand, OTB, returns and margin
- Take ownership of the critical path and take appropriate action on issues when they arise
- Prepare trading reports/packs and make recommendations for reporting improvements across the B&M function
- Build effective and open relationships with all members of the buying and merchandising team
- Ensure productive relationship between merchandising function and all other business areas
- Deliver key information at the right time to the right people
