We are recruiting for a Temporary Store Manager to join our team at Riverside Service Station, Derby Road, Ambergate, Derbyshire DE56 2EJ. The Store Manager's main responsibility is to manage a retail convenience store and forecourt, leading the team, setting consistently high standards, and delivering excellent customer service. This includes promoting sales and leading the financial performance of the store.

Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that the store is open for business as per company trading hours, customers are served quickly and professionally whilst providing excellent customer service.
- Managing stock, maximising sales, ensuring product availability, merchandising and promotions within the store.
- Managing KPIs, controlling wage costs, managing waste along with stock and cash shortages.
- Responsible for overseeing the retail sale of alcohol and implementing challenge 25.
- Recruit and manage the performance of your team, ensuring they are trained to the correct level for their role.
- Completion of the daily back office paperwork and banking, ensuring it is completed accurately within the allocated timelines.
- Overseeing food preparation and ensuring food safety records are completed to company standards.
- Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is met across the store and forecourt.
- Managing fuel stocks, seeing in fuel deliveries safely and legally to meet the needs of the business and in line with petroleum regulations.
- Implementing company policies and procedures to ensure the store operates in a safe and legal manner.
Knowledge and Skills:
The ideal candidate will have experience in a management or supervisory role within a retail environment. They should lead by example, have a hands-on approach, and be able to manage, coach, and motivate the team to maximise sales and profitability.
