We are recruiting for a Store Manager to join our team at Coombe Hill Service Station, Tewsbury Road, Coombe Hill, Gloucestershire GL19 4BQ. The Store Manager's main responsibility is to manage a retail convenience store and forecourt, promoting sales and leading the financial performance of the store.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that the store is open for business as per company trading hours, customers are served quickly and professionally whilst providing excellent customer service.
  • Managing stock, maximising sales, ensuring product availability, merchandising and promotions within the store.
  • Managing KPI's, controlling wage costs, managing waste along with stock and cash shortages.
  • Responsible for overseeing the retail sale of alcohol and implementing challenge 25.
  • Recruit and manage the performance of your team, ensuring they are trained to the correct level for their role.
  • Completion of the daily back office paperwork and banking, ensuring it is completed accurately within the allocated timelines.
  • Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is met across the store and forecourt.
  • Implementing company policies and procedures to ensure the store operates in a safe and legal manner.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a management or supervisory role within a retail environment. Lead by example, have a hands-on approach and be able to manage, coach and motivate the team to maximise sales and profitability.
