We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Plant Fitter to join our team. This role involves the maintenance, repair and inspection of a wide range of plant machinery, ensuring all equipment is safe, compliant and ready for hire or site use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on plant equipment (e.g. excavators, dumpers, telehandlers)
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs in a timely manner
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections and prepare machinery for hire
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
  • Keep the workshop and yard clean, organised and safe

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic or similar role
  • Strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge
  • Ability to diagnose and repair faults independently
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ/City & Guilds in Plant Maintenance or similar) preferred
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with a range of construction plant equipment
