We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Plant Fitter to join our team. This role involves the maintenance, repair and inspection of a wide range of plant machinery, ensuring all equipment is safe, compliant and ready for hire or site use.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on plant equipment (e.g. excavators, dumpers, telehandlers)
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs in a timely manner
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections and prepare machinery for hire
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
- Keep the workshop and yard clean, organised and safe
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic or similar role
- Strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge
- Ability to diagnose and repair faults independently
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ/City & Guilds in Plant Maintenance or similar) preferred
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with a range of construction plant equipment
