The Role

As a Plant Fitter, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a wide range of heavy plant equipment, including excavators, dumpers, and other construction machinery. Experience with HGV repairs is a strong advantage, as you'll also occasionally assist with the servicing and upkeep of our tipper fleet.

Key Duties

  • Carry out servicing, repairs, and inspections on plant machinery
  • Diagnose and fix mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Assist with HGV/tipper maintenance as needed
  • Keep accurate service records and report defects
  • Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations
  • Support breakdowns and reactive maintenance when required

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience as a plant fitter, construction mechanic, or similar
  • Strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge
  • Experience working on HGVs/tippers is a major advantage
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant or Vehicle Maintenance (preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence required (HGV licence beneficial)
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious
