Now is an exciting time to join the Marketing and Communications department as we continue to transform our marketing activities and elevate the South Essex Colleges Group brand. With three colleges across Southend, Basildon and Thurrock, alongside the University Centre South Essex, we are proud to support thousands of students each year in a vibrant and ambitious environment.

We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Assistant to support the delivery of our digital presence through our website and wider marketing activities. This fixed role offers valuable hands‑on experience in digital content development, creative production and project coordination, ideal for a recent graduate looking for their next step or someone seeking a fresh challenge.

The role holder will help develop engaging website content, organise creative assets, support photography and video shoots, and contribute to our social media activity. You’ll work closely with the Website Project Manager and the wider Marketing teams to ensure content is accurate, engaging and aligned with our brand messaging.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, full of initiative and able to manage multiple tasks with confidence. The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator and demonstrate a strong can‑do approach. You will gain experience across content creation, digital asset management, social media, events and project support while contributing to a major transformation project with real impact.
