Job Title: School Business Manager Location: Liverpool Employment Type: Contract/Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £39,186 – £43,420 Start Date: February 2025 or as soon as possible MLK Education Search has been assigned to recruit a positive, energeticSchool Business Manager for a small, Catholic Primary School based in the heart of Liverpool's city centre to start as soon as possible after the February half-term break. The school which is considerd to be 'Good in all areas' (Ofsted 2022), has c184 children on roll and is proud of its inclusive approach to the diverse community it serves. They strive to provide opportunities for everyone to succeed, have fun and be ready for the next step on their learning journey. As a valued member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of our school and developing the efficient running of the office team. Colleagues are trusted to work with autonomy and you will be working alongside a collaborative and supportive leadership team, a talented and dedicated staff, and a welcoming and diverse school community. This role is perfect for someone who is ready to take on a project and build something wonderful. There is scope to develop financial strategies, your team and support the excellent education of the children within the school. This is a full-time role that will start as soon as possible, preferably after the February half term holidays.   As a School Business Leader, you will: Lead on the strategic management of school finances, HR, premises, health and safety, and compliance. Develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure the school operates effectively and efficiently. Work closely with the Headteacher and contribute to SLT discussions, offering valuable insights and playing an integral part in school leadership. Lead, develop and inspire the administration and premises teams, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration. Proactively seek opportunities for income generation and ensure best value in all aspects of procurement and resource management. Ideally we are looking for someone who: Is a strategic thinker with a proven track record in financial and operational management, ideally within an educational setting. Has strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Is solutions-focused, proactive, and able to balance operational demands with long-term goals. Demonstrates excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Shares our vision and values and is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our pupils and staff.
