Join our expanding Product Growth team! We are actively recruiting Senior Growth Marketing Managers as we continue to scale our growing FinTech division at M-KOPA. You will architect the growth systems that maximise customer lifetime value and drive retention economics to unlock financial inclusion for millions across Africa.

The Impact

  • You will design the retention and up-sell infrastructure that drives measurable customer lifetime value and revenue growth whilst creating financial inclusion for Africa's traditionally excluded.
  • Your success will be measured in LTV growth, up-sell revenue, retention economics, and payback periods - not open rates or click-throughs.
  • Design the frameworks that move customers from their first smartphone purchase (entry point) to digital loans, health insurance, and bundle services - triggered by payment behaviour.
  • Your frameworks will scale across Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana, and South Africa.

The Opportunity

  • Build growth infrastructure, not just campaigns: You will architect the segmentation frameworks, experimentation roadmaps, and growth operating systems that M-KOPA's Product, Operations, and Commercial teams use to drive activation, retention, and up-sell across 5 African markets.
  • Strategic partner to senior leadership & Product: You will work directly with our senior leadership on strategy, product roadmap decisions, and commercial performance.
  • Transform CRM from support channel to growth engine: Design the frameworks that move customers from entry products to high-value bundles based on payment behaviour and engagement signals.

Why You'll Love This Role

  • Real autonomy: You will have the freedom to design experiments, build your own frameworks, and shape how we approach growth across 5 markets.
  • Direct impact you can see: Your campaigns will directly improve lives - customers will use your up-sell systems to access their first loan, first health insurance, first device upgrade.
  • Career acceleration: Work at the intersection of product, commercial, and marketing in one of Africa's fastest-growing fintechs.
  • Build something new: This isn't optimising someone else's playbook - you're creating the growth infrastructure from scratch.

What You'll Do

This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution. You will partner with senior leadership and Product teams to shape business strategy, then personally validate your strategies by building campaigns in CRM platforms.

Your Core Responsibilities

  • Design and own the growth operating system: Build the segmentation frameworks, experimentation roadmaps, and measurement infrastructure that Product, Operations, and Commercial teams use to drive retention and up-sell across M-KOPA.
  • Architect behavioural trigger-based up-sell systems: Design the retention and lifecycle programmes that move customers from entry products to high-value bundles.
  • Validate strategies by building campaigns yourself: Personally build and deploy automated customer journeys in CleverTap/Braze.
  • Influence product and pricing strategy with customer insights: Translate CRM experiments and retention economics into product feature recommendations.
  • Scale what works into repeatable playbooks: Turn successful experiments into documented frameworks and systems.

Your Environment

  • CRM/Lifecycle Tools: CleverTap, Braze, MoEngage, Customer.io, Iterable, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Analytics: GA4, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Looker (or similar).
  • Channels: WhatsApp, SMS, push notifications, in-app messaging, telesales, and integrated Direct Sales Agent networks.
  • Data: Proprietary customer insights spanning millions of transactions across 5 African markets.

What You Need

  • LTV and business economics mindset: The type of marketer who gets excited about maximising customer lifetime value.
  • Strategic growth leadership with hands-on CRM execution: Built systems and transformed CRM capabilities.
  • Behavioural trigger-based up or cross-sell expertise: Designed systems that move customers from entry products to higher-value offerings.
  • Rigorous experimentation methodology: Run tests with clear hypotheses, control groups, and statistical rigour.

Location & Benefits

  • Fully remote role within UTC -1 to UTC +3 time zones.
  • Work with diverse teams across UK, Europe, and Africa.
  • Professional development programs and coaching partnerships.
  • Family-friendly policies and flexible working arrangements.
  • Well-being support and career growth opportunities.
