Bid Manager – Social Housing We are looking for an experienced Bid Manager to lead and coordinate the preparation of project and framework bids for a key client of mine.
The Bid Manager will take ownership of the bid process from initial opportunity through to final submission, ensuring bids are compelling, compliant, professionally presented and delivered within deadline.
This is a key leadership role, managing an established bid team while working closely with operational, commercial and technical teams to develop high-quality tender submissions.
Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end preparation and submission of project and framework bids .
Review tender documentation, client requirements, evaluation criteria and submission requirements.
Develop and manage bid programmes, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are achieved.
Manage and allocate workload across the wider bid team.
Ensure sufficient resources are available across current and upcoming bids.
Coordinate input from operational, commercial, technical and other internal subject matter experts.
Act as the key communication link between the bid function and wider business.
Lead bid kick-off meetings, progress reviews and final submission reviews.
Coordinate contributions from external consultants and stakeholders where required.
Manage the collation, review and presentation of tender documentation.
Review and challenge bid content to improve quality, clarity and overall scoring potential.
Ensure submissions clearly address client requirements and evaluation criteria.
Manage multiple bids, frameworks and competing submission deadlines.
Maintain and develop the internal bid library, ensuring quality content and supporting information are readily available.
Drive continuous improvement across bid processes, content and overall submission quality.
Maintain visibility of opportunities and bid resource requirements through the CRM system.
