Are you an experienced asset management professional ready to lead strategic change and drive investment in high-quality, sustainable housing? Our client, a respected housing association in the Northwest, is seeking a Senior Asset Manager to oversee a critical portfolio of homes. Leading a team of four, you'll take ownership of long-term asset strategy, compliance, sustainability, and investment planning ensuring homes are safe, decent, and fit for the future.
The Role
- Deliver and lead the Asset Management and Sustainability Strategies.
- Use asset performance modelling to support strategic decisions on investment, regeneration, and disposals.
- Lead on the management of property hazards, including damp, mould, and compliance with HHSRS.
- Oversee and maintain accurate stock condition data, ensuring robust survey programmes and data validation.
- Take responsibility for the asbestos register and drive continuous improvement in compliance processes.
- Develop 40-year investment plans, aligning with business priorities and financial forecasting.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, customers, and leaseholders to shape service delivery.
- Identify and secure external funding opportunities to support capital investment.
- Ensure full compliance with procurement regulations, Section 20 consultation, and best practice.
What We're Looking For
- Chartered (RICS, CIOB) or equivalent experience in social housing asset management.
- Strong leadership experience with a collaborative and proactive approach.
- Deep understanding of HHSRS, Decent Homes, and building safety legislation.
- Analytical mindset with proven ability to interpret and utilise complex data for strategic planning.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce business cases, reports, and stakeholder briefings.
- Knowledge of Net Zero, sustainability, and energy efficiency is desirable.
