My client is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Social Value Manager to lead and deliver their social value agenda across multiple projects ensuring every promise becomes a positive legacy for people, places, and the environment.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Social Value Leadership
- Take ownership of the Social Value Plans across all projects and ensure delivery of commitments throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Drive high performance, innovation, and continuous improvement across all social value programmes.
- Lead initiatives covering employment, skills, community engagement, and environmental sustainability.
- Data, Reporting & Insight
- Collate and analyse both qualitative and quantitative data to demonstrate progress against social value targets.
- Produce regular reports using platforms such as the Social Value Portal.
- Create compelling case studies to support tender bids and client presentations.
- Stakeholder & Community Engagement
- Build effective relationships with clients, community groups, local authorities, and the supply chain.
- Engage local communities to understand their needs and shape meaningful initiatives.
- Promote social value internally and externally, raising awareness of its impact.
- Education, Skills & Supply Chain Collaboration
- Work with local education providers to identify construction-related work experience opportunities.
- Manage and support work placements throughout their journey.
- Collaborate with supply chain partners to capture and enhance their contributions (e.g., apprenticeships, local labour, charitable donations).
- Environmental & CSR
- Understand environmental CSR requirements and turn them into achievable, measurable targets.
- Support programmes that promote environmental responsibility across projects.
- Operational Delivery
- Implement Considerate Constructors Scheme requirements and prepare sites for audits.
- Create and update site newsletters to share project progress and social value achievements.
- Conduct research and planning to support tender submissions.
