Salary: £50,000- £60,000 Holidays: 25 days + Bank Holidays Pension | Team Events | Growing Organisation We are recruiting for an experienced and commercially focused Contracts Manager to take ownership of the successful delivery of contracts across roofing, refurbishment and housing works.
This is a key operational position for someone who can lead teams, manage client relationships and ensure contracts are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to a high standard.
You will act as a key point of contact for clients while providing leadership and direction to Site Managers, Project Managers, TLOs, operatives and subcontractors.
The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will: Take overall responsibility for the successful management and delivery of client contracts.
Ensure KPIs, programmes, quality standards and contractual requirements are consistently achieved.
Build strong working relationships with clients, residents, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
Lead and support operational teams, effectively planning labour, resources and subcontractors.
Monitor contract performance, costs, risks and opportunities, taking action where required.
Work closely with the commercial team to ensure contracts are delivered profitably and contractual entitlements are protected.
Maintain high standards across health & safety, quality and environmental compliance.
Develop programmes of work, resource plans and operational performance reports.
Lead client and operational meetings, ensuring actions are clearly communicated and delivered.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, efficiencies and business development.
Coach and develop team members, creating a culture of accountability and high performance.
Maintain a strong focus on resident and customer satisfaction throughout delivery.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager or Operational Manager, ideally with a background in roofing, social housing, planned works, maintenance, refurbishment or a similar construction environment.
You will have: Strong contract and operational management experience.
Good commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, costs and contract performance.
Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
Experience leading Site Managers, operational teams and subcontractors.
A proactive approach to identifying and managing risks.
Strong organisational and decision-making skills.
A commitment to excellent health & safety, quality and customer service standards.
The ability to work collaboratively across operational, commercial and senior management teams.
