We are looking for an enthusiastic and technically capable Intermediate Architectural Technician / Architectural Designer to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality residential developments. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career while working on a range of exciting projects, including multi-storey residential schemes. You will work alongside experienced technical and design professionals, assisting with the production of technical information and supporting projects through design and construction.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Technical Team, you will play a key role in the preparation and coordination of technical design information across a number of residential developments. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing and updating architectural drawings and technical details.
  • Assisting with the preparation of RIBA Stage 4 technical packages.
  • Coordinating consultant information and incorporating design changes into project documentation.
  • Supporting the review of technical drawings, specifications and reports.
  • Assisting with Building Regulations compliance and technical approvals.
  • Liaising with architects, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
  • Maintaining drawing registers and project documentation.
  • Supporting site teams with technical queries during construction.
  • Assisting with the coordination of design changes through Stages 5 and 6.
  • Ensuring technical information is produced accurately and to programme requirements.

About You

We are looking for somebody with strong technical aptitude, excellent attention to detail and a desire to further develop their expertise within residential construction. You will ideally have:

  • Experience working as an Architectural Technician, Architectural Designer, Technical Coordinator or similar role.
  • Knowledge of residential construction and technical detailing.
  • Experience producing technical drawings and construction information.
  • Understanding of Building Regulations and current industry standards.
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit or similar design software.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working on apartment, residential or mixed-use developments.
  • Exposure to RIBA Stages 4-6.
  • Awareness of Building Safety Act requirements and technical compliance processes.
  • Experience coordinating consultant information and technical submissions.
