M. J. Christophers & Son is a family owned company in Cornwall with 50 years of experience in removals and storage. We handle domestic and commercial removals, full or part loads to and from Cornwall to all parts of the UK, as well as European and overseas removals.
We are seeking to appoint an LGV driver who holds a Class 2 (Category C) licence to carry out local and long distance household furniture removals as part of our team based in Newquay.
- From £15.00 an hour, Monday to Friday
- Occasional Saturdays at an increased hourly rate
- Guaranteed 40 hours a week
- Night away allowance paid, with accommodation overnight in the vehicle
- 5.6 weeks paid annual holiday pro-rata (inclusive of public holidays)
- On the job training with on-going career development and coaching
The successful applicant must be:
- Reliable
- Physically able to lift and move furniture
- Smart in appearance
- Able to work as part of a team
- Have good communication skills
In addition must also possess a driver's digital tachograph card, CPC card and have a good geographical knowledge. Experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided for the right candidate.
