Where will you be working?
At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK. We don’t just build roads and bridges - we’re building a better future, creating lasting social value that gives back to the communities in which we work. You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.
What will you be doing?
- You fast-track business performance by driving adoption, governance, and scaling of AI technologies, particularly Microsoft Copilot and the Microsoft AI stack.
- You embed AI into day-to-day ways of working, improving output, decision making, and consistency across divisions.
- You deliver technical enablement through use cases, tooling, automation, configuration, rollout, optimisation, and workflow integration in partnership with IT.
- You lead people enablement through skills uplift, training, guidance, and adoption support.
- You identify and prioritise high-value AI use cases, develop pilots, track benefits, and transition solutions into business-as-usual.
- You ensure responsible AI usage through governance, compliance, and risk management.
- You drive innovation and continuous improvement by monitoring, assessing, and trialling new AI capabilities.
What you’ll bring
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Copilot and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps), with awareness of AI concepts including large language models, prompt engineering, automation, and decision support.
- Familiar with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and integration patterns, and comfortable working with data, workflows, and automation.
- Identifies practical AI opportunities, supports digital change and adoption, and promotes continuous improvement.
- Communicates clearly, influences without authority, builds trust, and remains organised, proactive, and effective in evolving environments with ambiguity and experimentation.
