Where will you be working?

At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK. You’ll be joining our Engineering Solutions team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

What will you be doing?

Do you enjoy leading on projects? You'll be the project lead for the design of highways maintenance and improvement schemes with responsibility for delivery to time, cost and quality requirements. You'll undertake technical design checks, site visits for surveys and inspections to support the design process.

Are you organised? You'll focus on resource planning and co-ordination of multi-disciplinary teams, including sub-consultants. We'll support you to carry out people management including training and development, staff performance reviews, mentoring and performance management.

What you’ll bring

  • Are you an Incorporated / Chartered Engineer? You'll need to have this status or be a highly experienced Engineer working towards IEng/CEng.
  • You’ll have experience leading multi-disciplinary projects to achieve customers’ programme, cost and quality expectations within the highways sector.
  • You’ll need experience in the application and review of alignment, drainage and sign design software and AutoCad package.
  • You’ll be commercially aware in project delivery.
  • Do you have experience of National Highways & Local Authority design standards & contracts? You'll need this and knowledge of NEC suite of contracts.
  • Experience of design resource planning and programme management.
  • You’ll need experience of managing H&S in design and construction.
  • You’ll need a full and clean UK/EEC driving licence.
