Where will you be working?
As an organisation, there is little we dont do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.

Please note: This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with hybrid working, and office locations in Warwick, alternatively we'd be open to a candidate based in Stevenage. Due to the nature of the role, candidates may also be required to undergo additional security screening.

What will you be doing?
Youll provide People Compliance administrative support across major projects and individual hires, ensuring a smooth, compliant experience from start to finish. Working closely with new starters, hiring managers, the Security function and People Services, youll build strong relationships and act as a trusted point of contact for vetting-related activities.
Youll be responsible for processing pre-employment screening activities, including right to work checks, and higher-level security checks, in line with governance requirements and service level agreements. Accuracy will be key, as you maintain and update records within our HR systems, ensuring all activity is clearly documented and audit ready.
With a strong focus on compliance, youll ensure all ensure all documentation meets internal and external auditing standards, while also identifying opportunities to improve how we work. Youll play an active role in driving continuous improvement, helping to streamline processes.

What youll bring Experience of vetting and referencing processes
Strong understanding of GDPR and the need for confidentiality
Good knowledge of HR systems (ideally Oracle) and exposure to IDVT tools
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships within the team and wider business
Confident stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work to strict and challenging deadlines with a proactive, can-do attitude
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Strong Microsoft skills, particularly Word and Excel
Desire to learn more about compliance and employment legislation
