Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our customer metering team - our customer metering team surveys and installs billing meters for customers across Wales.
What will you be doing?
You’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of water systems and related fixtures within the water industry’s infrastructure. This role requires a skilled individual with a strong understanding of plumbing principles and practices. We’ll need you to diagnose and resolve any plumbing issues, including leaks, blockages and malfunctions and you’ll handle any maintenance and inspections whilst identifying and reporting potential hazards or defects. You’ll work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery, while also participating in a standby rota for emergency callouts.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in plumbing, installation, maintenance and repair will be required to carry out this role, ideally within the water industry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Follow health & safety regulations and company policies to ensure the work is carried out to a high standard of quality and compliance.
- NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing.
- Valid UK driving license.
