Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.
What will you be doing?
- Project Delivery: Oversee the successful execution of metering, lead replacement, and new connection projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
- Safety Leadership: Champion health, safety, and wellbeing on site, conducting inductions, toolbox talks, and coaching staff on best practices and PPE compliance.
- Planning & Documentation: Prepare and manage RAMS, permits, and temporary works documentation.
- Team Management: Supervise labour, plant, and materials, while building collaborative teams and managing specialist subcontractors.
- Customer Engagement: Act as the point of contact for customers and the public impacted by works, ensuring clear communication and minimal disruption.
- Quality & Compliance: Follow MG Water Business Management Systems to deliver projects right first time in a controlled environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Coordinate document control, design management, and timely close-out of audit actions. Participate in investigations and drive improvements.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in site supervision within the water industry or similar utilities sector.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Ability to manage teams and manage subcontractors effectively.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Competent in preparing and managing site documentation and permits.
