Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.
What will you be doing?
As our Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in our Delivery Team, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of water schemes across the region. You’ll lead by example, promoting a Zero Harm culture and driving high standards of quality and compliance throughout every stage of the project. You’ll lead the delivery of metering, lead replacement, and new connection projects, ensuring all works are completed safely, on time, and to the required specification. Acting as a visible safety leader, you’ll conduct inductions, toolbox talks, and on-site coaching to maintain high standards of health, safety, and wellbeing. You’ll also manage RAMS, permits, temporary works documentation, and oversee labour, plant, materials, and specialist subcontractors to keep projects running efficiently.
In this customer-facing role, you’ll act as the primary point of contact for residents and stakeholders affected by works, ensuring clear communication and minimal disruption. You’ll maintain strong quality and compliance by following MG Water Business Management Systems to deliver work right first time, while coordinating document control, design management, audit close-outs, and supporting investigations. Your focus on continuous improvement will help drive better performance and strengthen project delivery across the programme.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in site supervision within the water industry or similar utilities sector.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors effectively.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Competence in preparing and managing site documentation and permits.
