Where will you be working? As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom. This role is in our Plant & Fleet department, which supports teams across our business with their vehicle, plant and specialist equipment needs, offering hire solutions that are commercially effective, reliable, safe and compliant.

What will you be doing? We’re looking for a self-motivated and flexible Mobile Technician to join our team in Central London, working independently across customer sites to service and repair LCVs, plant machinery, and specialist equipment in the utilities sector. You’ll have the freedom of a fully equipped service van, PDA, and smartphone, backed by the support of our central service network, while delivering high standards of customer service and building strong client relationships. Ideally, you’ll have a recognised apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualifications, with experience in LCVs, construction plant, material handling, or ancillary equipment being a plus. Familiarity with diagnostic and electrical systems is desirable, but we offer full training to help you develop any areas you’d like to strengthen.

What you’ll bring:

  • Recognised expertise: holding an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent industry qualification.
  • Precision and skill: with excellent manual dexterity and proven ability using a wide range of hand tools.
  • Technical confidence: experienced in using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Independence & responsibility: capable of carrying out statutory inspections, examinations, calibrations, and service activities on all Plant & Vehicles under your assigned contracts.
  • People skills: delivering outstanding customer service and building strong professional relationships.
  • Flexibility & adventure: happy to travel across the UK, bringing your expertise to where it’s needed most.
