Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our Demand management and network infrastructure team. We look after 60 million meters and our teams provide advanced metering solutions to help manage demand for essential suppliers.
What will you be doing?
We're seeking reliable and highly motivated individuals experienced & inexperienced to install Smart water meters as part of the Smart metering Contract. All relevant training will be provided. All we ask of you is to bring your enthusiasm to work, be able to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety legislation. You'll represent Yorkshire Water and M Group Water whilst conducting your role and be able to communicate with members of the public, so bring a smile to work. The role will be varying, and you'll be required to work outdoors in all weathers as well as walking and standing on uneven ground. We'll also need you to work within a confined space, without restriction, as the role involves manual labour, including lifting, bending, and you need to have a level of fitness which will allow you to complete tasks safely. There may be times that you are asked to work outside this working pattern, weekends etc depending on business requirements and operational needs, therefore it is important that the successful candidate is flexible and willing to support the business when needed. A performance related bonus is available, rewarding strong individual performance and productivity aligned with contract results.

- Installation of Smart Water Meters

- Complete work in accordance with company procedures and health and safety regulations
- Ensure tools, materials and equipment are used correctly, maintained and in good condition.
- Accurately complete job records, risk assessments and required documentation.

- Promote a positive and respectful approach when dealing with customers and members of the public.
