Where will you be working? At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future. We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators. This role will be within our Fixed networks team, you’ll join our people who support providing turnkey solutions for the surveying, designing, building and commissioning new networks, while supporting the repair, maintenance and operation of existing networks.

What will you be doing? We are looking for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead our fixed-line field service operations. This is a key leadership role that ensures reliable service for homes and businesses. You will manage teams that deliver and maintain our network, making sure customers receive the highest quality service. You will oversee all field activities, including service activation and fault repair. You will guide in-house teams and contractors to work safely and efficiently. You will make sure our network assets are maintained to the right standards and meet all regulations. You will manage budgets and control costs for maintenance and resources. You will look for ways to improve processes and reduce delays. You will use planning tools to make sure technicians are scheduled well and customer issues are resolved quickly.

We need someone who understands large-scale networks and field operations. You will be a strategic thinker who can lead teams and make decisions that improve service and reduce costs. You will care about safety, quality, and customer experience.

What you’ll bring; You will have a strong background in technical operations within the telecommunications sector. Your experience will include at least eight years in this field and four years in a senior leadership role where you managed fixed-line networks. You will understand how large-scale networks operate and how to keep them reliable for customers. Your technical knowledge will be deep and practical. You will know how Fibre-to-the-X networks work, including GPON and XGS-PON architecture. You will have experience in deployment and maintenance of these networks. You will also have managed field service teams and understand the safety and logistical requirements that come with this responsibility. You will be a confident leader who can guide and motivate a diverse workforce. You will know how to manage budgets and control costs without compromising service quality. You will be able to explain complex technical issues in a way that makes sense to people who are not technical. You will have strong communication skills and be comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels. You will bring a focus on improvement. You will have a track record of introducing changes that make services better and more efficient. You will understand how to use data and processes to drive continuous improvement across operations.
