With 3 depots across the UK, M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions provide innovative plant and fleet asset management solutions across M Group Ltd. We provide our business with more than 9,000 vehicles and over 25,000 owned or externally hired plant assets. Our team has grown rapidly and we are responsible for the supply and management of specialist equipment and vehicles, supplying the Water, Energy, Transport, Data and Telecommunication sectors.

The role is responsible for ensuring the effective and continuous control of the M Group fleet within the assigned contract or region, while providing ongoing support, advice, and guidance on transport operations to line managers responsible for deploying drivers. It involves developing and maintaining strong working relationships with contract teams and wider stakeholders to ensure a clear and consistent approach to ways of working. The position also requires acting on audit findings and KPI reports to drive continuous improvement and maintain compliance. In addition, responsibility includes ensuring that all commercial driver inductions are completed and that fleet compliance records are accurately maintained and readily available for audit purposes, as well as supporting the line manager with the seamless transition and integration of any M Group acquisitions.

  • National CPC Holder, with experience of managing a large diverse fleet.
  • Strong background in dealing with complex issues or requirements.
  • Take ownership, responsibility, and work as part of a team to deliver high standards, demonstrated through actions/behaviours.
  • Strong commitment to delivering high standards of customer service.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, work under pressure to strict deadlines.
  • Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Fleet Management Systems & MS Office.
