Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?

As our Customer Service Coordinator you’ll be working on our Thames Water Capital Delivery Framework. This will be covering our works in South London and Thames Valley. This is a hybrid role which will involve working from site as well as the office and at home. You’ll report directly to the Customer Service Manager and support Project Teams while working with the Client Customer Teams. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that our customers’ experience is a positive one and that all customers are treated in a professional and considerate way ensuring minimal impact.

The majority of the time you’ll be managing your own workload so must be highly organised with great communication skills. You’ll be expected to meet your colleagues and clients onsite and deal with customers face to face and over the telephone. A full clean driving licence is essential for this role due to the locations of the sites.

As the Customer Service Coordinator your duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Build a solid working relationship with the Client Customer Team and Delivery Teams to create and deliver customer and stakeholder communications.
  • Undertake relevant administration duties such as compiling customer letters and creating newsletters.
  • Understand C-MeX, D-MeX and how we contribute to it.
  • Contribute to Team and Project meetings.
  • Help to deliver onsite customer training.
  • Develop/keep updated impact assessments and communication plans for all projects.
  • Support and attend customer drop-in sessions and community events with the Delivery Team and client.
  • Proactively engage with customers and communities to ensure we minimise disruption and leave a positive lasting legacy.
  • Take ownership of any customer issues and manage through to resolution.
  • Preparation and dissemination of daily, monthly and weekly reports.
  • Undertake training as and when required.
  • Placed on an Out Of Hours rota as a contact for emergencies.

The Key Requirements:

  • Strong Customer Liaison skills.
  • Be highly organised and able to prioritise own workload.
  • Ability to build rapport over the phone and in person.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • IT skills particularly MS Word and Excel.
  • STEM Ambassador a bonus but not a requirement.
